40 Years

Pete Scudder grew up in Walnut Creek and started roofing during the mid-seventies for C.L. Frost, then Williams Roofing, and he has never looked back. Ask any entrepreneur, and they will undoubtedly tell you that they live and breathe their work; Pete Scudder is no different. After all, running a successful roofing company and staying in business through good times and bad, including recessions and a catastrophic pandemic, is certainly no small feat. Doing that with your doors open for 40 consecutive years is nearly impossible. But Pete will be the first to tell you that a roofing company – even one that’s been around this long – is only as good as those who work for it.

"We are celebrating 40 years of success together, including every member of the Scudder team and every customer we've served over the years," said founder Pete Scudder. "The simplest way to say it is we're still here 40 years later because of our people. It's no secret we adore our employees, and I couldn't be prouder of everything the team has accomplished. It's just an incredible milestone for all of us."

Scudder Roofing has served the tri-county area since its inception in 1982. Forty years under the belt in the roofing industry doesn’t come without challenges.
